2fort5

The first map played was 2fort5, 6 v 6. The players were Hetzer, Proto, (_Z_) and Victim on defence, and Karl and Grimm on attack. Victim also helped to attack during the game. Grimm and Karl initially were the main attackers but faced some spirited Dragon defence. After five minutes, the score was still 0-0. However, after Grimm and Karl put the Dragon defence under substantial pressure, they broke through and got the key, with Grimm getting the first capture. Later on, Victim joined them in attack and in total Loki managed to score seven times, Grimm getting five of those, Karl and Victim one each.

Our defence was broken through very early in the game, with Dragon attackers getting down to the key area, but they were unable to take the key. Our defence remained extremely tight for the rest of the game, ensuring that our key was rarely even touched. Hetzer and his sentry did a great job, the gun being destroyed only a few times, but Fenrir's defensive support was missed. Proto, unhindered by u_removes this time, did his usual sterling work, and Victim provided great cover while he was on defence. Twisted from Dragon did a good sniping job, keeping (_Z_) very busy in trying to clear the path for our attackers.

Unfortunately Karl timed out during the second half of the battle, leaving us one short, but Morgoth from Dragon also timed out not long after, turning the rest of the game into 5 v 5. Karl eventually returned but did not play again, to keep the teams even.

It is worth reminding all concerned that only team talk should occur during clan matches. The constant bombardment of "HEHE SNIKT>> 201" from Dragon's Ronin was particularly annoying and continued even after repeated requests to stop it. Grimm's response of "I am the most POWERFUL camper here" was also not appropriate. :-)

Map score: Loki 70, Dragon 0.
