Muskrat4
The first map played was muskrat4, 8 v 8, using QW2.3 and TF2.9 on the Zip clan server. Playing for Loki were Victim, Mil, Darkmane, Fenrir, Grimm, Proto, Zel and mic. Goo and Astro Boy both spectated, as they originally were unable to play due to other committments and turned up late. Welcome to Darkmane, who played his first match with us. Pity he had such little work to do, though!
AW had suggested we have a game on some different maps, just for a bit of fun. They suggested muskrat4 and havoc6, but we eventually settled on muskrat4 and 2nuke2. We didn't know the maps too well but it made a welcome change from 2fort5 etc.
When it was time for the game, AW were struggling to get a team together and ended up using a number of subs. The game eventually started and some of the people playing for AW began to complain almost immediately. Pleb was the worst offender. He whined about the server, the lag, the map, the backpacks and the size of his tiny dick. Well, no, actually he didn't whine about this, but we knew from his behaviour that he was suffering from this affliction. :) It seemed like he spent the whole game with one hand typing out abuse, the other frantically manipulating his tweezers.
He went on to constantly whinge and complain that our attackers were spamming their base. Now this was an interesting accusation, given that they had most (and sometimes all) of their team on defence and were perhaps confusing their own numerous nail grenades for ours. Sure, our attackers were using nail grens, they would be silly not to. They are certainly a very effective weapon, especially when you are trying to kill numerous sentries and a whole team of defenders.
In any case, the game carried on without much happening. Our attackers tried hard to get through the over-populated AW defence, and did very well to actually get their flag home on one occasion. Some of our defenders, however, killed only one or two AW players, due to the very rare appearance of any AW players in our base. At one stage, though, a lone AW attacker did get our flag, but we quickly made sure he went nowhere with it. They played the game with seven players for most of the match, and didn't want to let one of our specs play for them to even up the numbers.
We ended up winning the game one capture to nil, but it would have to go down as one of the least enjoyable games that we have ever played. It would be nice to find clans who will actually play a game for fun and not resort to abuse and accusations all game. Muskrat4 is also perhaps not well suited to clan games due to its fairly cramped nature, but it certainly gets worse when you have one and a half teams in the one base.
Map score: Loki 10, AW 0.
