We had tried two times before to play a game against Dad's Army but both times server problems had thwarted us. It started off badly this time too, with the rcon for Zip's clan server not working. Fortunately, Havok from D.A. was able to set the Quicknet server up for us quickly and we were able to play there.

The first map played was bam4, 8 v 8. Unfortunately, D.A. played with only 7 people for the whole game. :-( Playing for Loki were Grimm, Fenrir, Hetzer and Mil on defence, and Shilka, Mirage, Astro and "Bob" on attack. Thanks to Astro Boy (Clan ?) and Goo (ICBM) from our fellow Zip clans for subbing in for missing Lokis. Vic was in England, Mic, Tetsuo, Strafe, rj, Ct and Karl were missing. Z was not allowed to play. :-)

Our attack turned out really well. Goo (err, Bob I mean!) and Astro fitted in nicely and worked well with Mirage and Shilka. They hit D.A.'s defence very hard, took out their sentries and smashed their way through to get the flag. It was a very impressive effort and resulted in ten captures.

Our defence didn't have to work quite so hard. Having an extra player certainly gave us an advantage, and it made D.A.'s attacking job so much harder. Grimm did a terrific job, taking out or wounding most of the incoming attackers. Those that made it past Grimm were then taken out by Fenrir or Hetzer and his big gun. Mil only got a handful of kills. :-) D.A. did get to our flag twice, but both times they were killed before getting to the stairs. The first was killed by Hetzer's gun, the second by one of Mil's rusty pineapples.

A great effort by Loki, and a good game by an under-manned D.A.
