The second map played was well6, 8 v 8, using QW2.3 and TF2.9 on the Zip Clan server for OTFCR points, using teamplay 1 and new grens. Playing for Loki were Victim, Shilka, Darkmane, Proto, Fenrir, Zel, Mic and Beer. Immy and Mil spectated the game.

Just like in 2fort5, we started the map well, this time with Shilka getting past the QG two-soldier-plus-sentry-gun defence and capturing the flag less than two minutes into the game. Seemingly right away, Mic also managed to kill [QG]Test's sentry gun and take to the water with the red key. Obviously things were going well for Loki in attack. Fen, Zel, Mic and Shilka found holes in the QG defence and managed to spend quite a while camping in the key room waiting for the flag to be captured.

In the blue base, Darkmane was doing a great job grenading the QG attack. Those EMPs seemed to have a mind of their own as they flew at the incoming QG soldiers. Luckily for him, Fen was on attack so Darky stayed alive for more than a minute at a stretch :) (Oi, watch it! - Fen)

About five minutes into the game, Beer's connection problems came to a head and he froze solid. The timing could not have been worse as a wave of QG attackers swarmed the remaining Loki defence. The result was inevitable and QG escaped for their only cap of the night. To prevent a repeat of this mistake, some quick rearranging by Loki saw the gap filled without a hitch. Shilka took Beer's spot on defence, leaving Beer free to rip the QG defence apart when he wasn't lagging.

For the remainder of the game the Loki defence held tight. Although QG did manage to get to the flag on a few occasions, they didn't manage to kill the gun at the same time, and didn't get the flag out of the flag room for the rest of the game. With some practised coordination the offence team captured the QG flag regularly leaving the score at 140-10.

Thanks to QG for another game played in good spirits.
