Only one map was played, 2fort5, 9 v 9. It was originally supposed to be 8 v 8 but SDC started with more so we added another player in too. Playing were Z, Fenrir, Victim, Hetzer and Mil looking after the safety of our fort, and Karl, Grimm, rj and Mic taking care of the pillaging of theirs. Shilka and Tetsuo spectated the match.

This match was originally planned to be played on the Ground Zero server but a misunderstanding resulted in no booking being made. Instead, we ended up playing on the SDC clan server, which unfortunately most people found to be terribly laggy. Play was not impossible but it certainly wasn't very easy. This was the case for both sides.

In the very early stages of the game, our flag was taken and ended up at the top of the ramps. We quickly rallied and managed to defend it successfully until it returned to its normal position. It was taken a couple more times in the game but never went very far. All up it was another good defensive effort by Loki.

In the SDC fort, things were not going quite so well for them. After three quick captures, the entire SDC team appeared to go on defence for a moment. Later, nearly half the team seemed to go engineer and there were sentries everywhere. However, nothing that SDC tried could prevent the Loki attackers from getting away with the flag and after about 20 minutes the 100 frag limit was reached and it was all over. Well done to the attackers for securing victory in such a short space of time.

Fenrir was particularly pleased that he was able to get his first ever cpature for the clan, usually an impossible task as he never gets to even see the outside of the Loki fort. :-) However, when he spied the SDC flag abandoned at the entry to the Loki fort, he couldn't resist the temptation to grab it. However, Z jumped off the balcony and got to it first but an SDC soldier blasted Z soon after. Fortunately, however, Z left a departing present for the SDC solider in the form of a grenade, which blew the SDC solider apart. This left Fenrir clear to pick up the flag and run heroically through the Loki fort to capture. Z was able to pick up another dropped flag later on to also get a capture in, but most of the captures were done as usual by Karl, Grimm, rj and Mic.

After the map was finished, it was decided that the server was just too laggy and no further maps would be played.

Loki is certainly up for a rematch on the Ground Zero server if SDC is interested.
