The second map played was well6, 8 v 8, using QW2.3 and TF2.9 on SOB's One.Net server for OTFCR points, using old grens. Playing for Loki were Beer, Zel, Proto, Goo, Mil, AstroBoy, Victim and Darkmane with Shilka spectating (and doing a mighty fine job as cinematographer).

The first thing both teams noticed on the One.Net server was that the r_novis setting allowed GL users to see through the water. This made things difficult for the attackers on both sides, as they were totally exposed when attacking through the water. It had actually been agreed before the game to use non see-through water and new grens, but SOB did not set the server up this way. :( Another problem was the intermittent lag, which caused some embarrassing goofs by all players when throwing grenades. :)

On attack, Mil was making himself useful with some good placement and timing. Just when his heavy attacking teammates cleared the key area, he would swoop in and bound away, flag in hand. Fortunately for Loki, SOB had the habit of following their key halfway home, giving  Loki free reign in the red key room in the meantime. This gave Loki three quick captures in a row.

Back in the blue base, the SOB attack was proving to be very effective. Here the lag showed itself as several SOB attackers climbed the suspension wires on the bridge in the key area, only to shoot skywards and land in the same place with a thud. Some clever SOB spying confounded the Loki top defence and they were forced to watch as their flag disappeared. The SOB attack was consistent but not as effective as Loki's. Usually individual reds appeared, making for easy targets in the crossfire set up by having three soldiers shooting from opposite sides of the key area.

Back in the red base, an intriguing sentry gun placed in the top room ensured the health and ammo there were very well protected... The Loki attack didn’t let up. When SOB finally put a sentry gun in the key room the Loki gun killers simply went into action and two more captures followed, the second thanks to SOB's affinity for escorting the Loki flag carriers back home instead of defending their base.  Towards the end of the game a slick concussion jump by [SOB] Mainframe allowed him to get the flag moments after his fellow attackers killed Darkmane’s sentry gun. He was hightailing it for home just as the map ended... Bit o’ bad
luck there but it was still a good effort.
